Hasn’t thrown out a runner all year. Consistently lets balls get by him that are scored WP. Average hitter.
He’s our starting catcher next year.
And Houston might transfer out since he hasn’t gotten much playing time even in midweek games. Houston might even be the better defensive catcher. We just didn’t see him enough to know.
Load the bases with trash and can’t hit a fly ball
Just keep throwing 85 mph pitches down the middle…
These guys have zero leadership
Sad but true. 2025 is in the record book. It just wasn’t to be.
Not when they get on base with 2 outs. As I’ve explained many times the stat doesn’t consider how many outs when they arrived. According to novices like you being left on 1st with 2 outs is the same as being left on 3rd with no outs.
It’s not an overrated stat, it’s a meaningless stat.
I have NEVER equated on 1st with 2 outs with on 3rd with no outs, never. But you have always dismissed the stat, and you did it again in this post. It is NOT a meaningless stat and only a novice like you would think so.
The game last night came down to this stat with how the two teams performed in the 7th inning.
But, Tech has other issues needing correcting too. I'm sure LB will address those and next year we'll be back in the regionals...![]()
You've used the stat many times regarding overall performance when it didn't apply...even in a win. I've gone back and explained why it didn't matter. Again, leaving a man on 1st counts just like leaving a man on 3rd. Talking heads like to use the stat to fill empty air. Gullible viewers/listeners like you are taken in by it.
Stick to WBB.
Then state how many we left on 2nd or 3rd with less than 2 outs.
Not the overall meaningless stat you and the talking heads like to use.
Jax State swept and eliminated DBU, so CUSA should get two into the playoffs again this year.
How is it that UTSA has an RPI of 23 with a SOS of 121st? I thought SOS was the key factor in determining RPI. They are 12-6 vs. Quad 1 & 2 opposition. Heard during the broadcast Tech has dropped to 113th in RPI, so we are 90 spots below UTSA. Was our SOS so much worse than 121st? I didn't think so.
On a side note, the very mediocre Tulane team swept UTSA and plays today in the AAC championship game for the auto-bid. Marks the third straight year Tulane has done this.
