    LOUISVILLE, Ky. –*Louisiana Tech Softball's Elena Heng has been awarded a Rawlings Gold Glove, presented by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Heng took home honors as the nation's best defensive left fielder.

    Totally agree, Dwayne. First Gold Glove in program history speaks volumes about the level of talent and development going on behind the scenes. Elena’s consistency in left field clearly made an impression, and this kind of recognition can only help the program grow. Proud moment for LA Tech.

    Our outfield is pretty solid for 2026 with Heng and other returners. Got to rebuild the infield with 2B, SS, 3B graduating & one catcher moving on.
