Kenneth Dixon is from Strong Arkansas. After his success at LA Tech, I thought LA Tech would have had a foothold in Southern Arkansas for a long time. I'm surprised at how few recruits from Arkansas we've gotten.

If we can ever get our football program to start winning again, I'd like to see an OOC 2 or 4 game football series with Fresno St and/or Boise St. But those are really the only 2 old western WAC schools I'd like to see re-scheduled. Maybe Nevada?

Our sports relationship with FSU was particularly hateful back in the WAC , and i really enjoyed it.

Sounds like the PAC-?? is hard up for games, especially for 2026. They're trying to get a conference-partnership (and not with the MWC). I don't see why the SB/CUSA/AAC/MAC would sign up for anything very broad, but the leverage should be there for individual schools from that group to book decent 1-for-1 deals with PAC-?? schools.

With all our scheduled SB games becoming conference games, we have lots of openings (especially for those 1-for-1 G6 series). As stated above, I'd start in Texas and work out mostly geographically before looking to specific PAC-?? schools, but you have to work with whomever has openings when you need them.

I'd certainly at least field calls from Texas State/CSU/Fresno/Boise/WSU/Oregon State. But we ought to be able to hold out for the details we want in terms of dates or which years are home/away.

This whole thread is about cancelling SDSU games, so I don't guess we're too interested in them (or vice versa) beyond the 2 games still on the books (for now). Can't see why we'd schedule a 1-and-1 with USU unless both teams were just down to no other options.

And no more $ games with Washington State or Oregon State unless they're really willing to pay a premium. I know these are about to get harder to find and the market is going to have to adjust - but we shouldn't play money games at G6 teams.

I like your thinking on this. Not sure how money games will work in the future or if they will even be available every year. The SEC didn't leave much room for them. I figure the BIG will be the same. Big XII or ACC could be an option. They should still need some OOC games and be willing to pay for a home game. No need to even think about the 2-1 crap.
