No. Next question. Haha![]()
We do have enough if you actually place a value on Crummy as a coach...$0.
As for Kelly, he was mediocre at Notre Dame, but he blamed the policies of ND for his failing to win a national championship. ND is one of the few remaining schools that actually place some value on academics i.e. athletes have to attend classes! Sheesh! Kelly thought if he went to a football factory school he'd do better. But, he is still just a mediocre coach.
If he is smart, he'll take his $54 million payout and retire quietly somewhere. Hope we don't see him on one of those pregame shows or something.
These buyouts are criminal. Not sure how you punish the givers of these hideous contracts, but it is a criminal waste of money.
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?

As long as people keep paying them, the lawyers will keep getting them. It really is insane.
Jech (and similar schools) don't have a Todd Graves to cover a ludicrous number.
We also don't have the governor of the State (allegedly of the whole State but just BR) tweeting about Jech's poor coaching.
I read that the state is going to help pay for Kelly to be gone. To me that sounds like we’re helping to fund it through our taxes. There’s no way that should be the case. If it is then the state should fund Crumbie’s retirement too. This football money thing is ridiculously out of control.

After this year Cumbie only has next year left on his contract right?
LSU's current AD Scott Woodward is responsible for hiring the two greatest coaching busts of all time in college football, if you go strictly by contract buyouts. Woodward hired Jimbo Fisher back in 2017 when he was Texas A&M's AD. Fisher's final "buyout" in 2023 after he was fired by A&M was for $77.5 Million. Woodward also hired Brian Kelly at LSU in 2021. Kelly's buyout totals $54 Million.
I need a job like Woodwards. Imagine being able to screw up the biggest hire of your life TWICE, and managing to cost your 2 schools a combined $131.5 MILLION, but still getting to keep your job.
Woodward must have pictures of the Louisiana Governor with Farm animals or something.

Rumors swirling that LSU will try to coax either Nick Saban or Urban Meyer to coach the Tigers. Seemingly unlikely that either of them would want to coach in the current NIL/Transfer portal environment. Interested to see if either materializes, though.
Kiffin's ego will get the best of him...
