    Las Vegas Bowl

It was announced today that the LV Bowl will get the MWC champion for the next years starting 2006 against #4 PAC 10. However, the Liberty Bowl has not signed the deal for this year and if they wait till November the MWC will award LV Bowl the champion for 2005.

We had talk on here awhile back about the Liberty and Indy making changes I wonder how this recent news will shake things up. Surely, the Liberty Bowl won't settle for #2 MWC after hosting #1's. They always wanted and SEC team to play their CUSA champ or maybe they'll try to align with the Big East in hopes that Memphis is asked to join their league. Has the Indy tied up their ends with contracts? Could they lose their SEC end to the Liberty? If so is their a chance we could get the WAC into the Indy. Just wondering...

The Liberty would never settle for the WAC #1. They want Eastern conf's with big crowds.

And the SEC Commish told the Liberty Bowl that his conference only wishes to play a school from one of the six power conferences; that leaves all the small 1-A football conferences out (MWC, CUSA, MAC, WAC, SBC).

The Liberty will be BCS vs. BCS... Mark my word...

Money will end up doing the talking and U of Memphis will get treated like Tech by the Indy Bowl...

UNLESS, they change the name to the Fed Ex Liberty Bowl or the New and Improved Autozone Liberty Bowl for a few extra million!!!

Then Memphis and CUSA will be back in the saddle... But, I'd bet on BCS/BCS...
