I didn't think it was possible to stump me on such an obvious Astros' trivia, but I did not know that. WOW!

I didn't know that. Gooden sure screwed up his career with his off field troubles early in his career.

They posted his mugshot today. He was really a phenom. I mean, he was on drugs early in his career and teams wanted him as late as 2002. That's incredible. He was great when I was a jr in high school back in '85. Maybe he was sent up too soon, too fast. The really sad part is that his son is in jail with him for the same crimes. I thought he was under an overpass somewhere in Florida like J.R. Richard, but I guess that he had enough left over from his last playing days that he's still able to buy dope. What's the minimum salary for a Major Leaguer these days? It has to be well over $300K...and that's for riding the pine!!
