that we got royally screwed by the system once again. Its all about money and connections and we have neither. The only way we will ever go to a bowl is to win the WAC. Even the lowly independence bowl with adminstrators with Tech connections (traitors !) wouldn't spit on us. I say TO HELL WITH ALL OF THEM!!!!!

How well tech travel is old news. With the student body getting back into the games. Tech would travel well. That excuse is hot air.

16000 fans in the stadium in the biggest home game in 15 years. Why no bowl? Filling half the stadium in what amounted to a WAC championship game is why no bowl.

Why no fans? Two names pop up in my mind. Reneau and Oaks. A leads B and A wants no part of a solid, big time program. Academics are his thing and you can't have both in his mind. B won't stir the pot, he's got a good job.

People on this board yip about the coaches and the players. They have nothing to work with. Tell me about big time recruits wanting to come to Ruston and play in front of 20,000 on a GOOD day. Tell me about big time coaches who want to attempt to build a program when the scholl won't even provide a training table for the players. Until someone who leads this University understands what a big time football program can do for it Louisiana Tech will remain precisely where it is: Mired in mediocrity with a few big wins here and there. And a few loyal fans wondering why we aren't going bowling.

Because 8,000 to 10,000 of those 16,000 Tech fans would travel to a bowl game. Of course, if you weren't a moron and if you were a real Tech fan you would already know this.

don't forget the fact that Tech packed 48,000 fans into the INdy bowl back in 1990. It literally saved the Indy bowl.

I say screw the WAC and C-USA. Go back to being an independent and make the money. What, four almost unwinnable road games at 700 thousand each and two for 200 thousand each, not bad. Play the low lifes at home and be happy with the victories.
