I had no idea Jeremy had any eligibility left, but it looks like he's found a home at LSUS.

Yes, many of us have been watching him to see how he does. He could play at LSUS immediately because they are not Division 1. Seems like it is a good fit for him. I thought he took a veiled swipe at Keith, but maybe it is deserved.Originally Posted by TECH88
Another big man to take some of the punishment would have helped Paul.
He was at the game the other day sitting courtside (dont remember which one). My first thought was that he missed playing for the dawgs and he wished he was out there, but he might like it better in shreveport.
I played AAU basketball with the Blankenship kid in that article. He was good, but I didn't realize he went to Tulsa to play.
Did JJ ever even step on the court for Tech?

JJ played quite a bit as a freshman. He was aggressive on offense, and looked like he had some potential. I was hoping he would steadily progress the way Wayne Powell did. But it never happened. He never really was a great help on the boards, and I think Richard felt he was a big liability on defense. If you don't play good defense, you're going to sit the bench on Richard's team. Good move for him to go somewhere he could play for his senior season.l His playing time had really dwindled at Tech. Best of luck to him.Originally Posted by Beaz17
Yeah, he played some quality minutes. DFM or Boxer could probably fill you in more on what happened with him.Originally Posted by Beaz17
There wasn't a shot he DIDN'T like and was a liability on defense -
Like Joey said, never took the steps in improving like Powell did -
Gave solid minutes in Fresh & Soph years - really took a big step backwards last year-
Good kid, good student - just didn't have it at the WAC level -

I've watched LSUS play several games this year. Jeremy is a very good player for them. But, every time, it is confirmed that he made the right decision--better for him & better for Tech. If he were still here, he'd be playing Disy's minutes, no more.
I just wish we could put in another "physical" player to help Paul out. I don't care if he scores, as long as he bangs around in the paint and doesn't give up any easy shots. If he fouls out...big deal, as far as I'm concerned he's done his job. BTW, I think Jeremy is just as good as Boise's hatchet man Cunningham.Originally Posted by boxerdog

Cunnigham is a pretty decent player for a FRESHMAN and can actually step out and hit the three on occassion when the occassion presents itself -
Boise is still young and is real close to taking the step to get to the next tier of teams in the WAC - they had us at home, except for a fade-away 3 by Paul and got jobbed by the refs in a home loss to Nevada -
And as everyone saw last nite - Coby Karl can play on my team anytime he wants -

In the end KR's failure to bring in just 1 big man to go with Paul.... Im not saying it will be, but it may be his undoing as coach at Tech. Especially if Paul bolts. It has really held us back.Originally Posted by TECH88
If we just had one 6 10 guy who could give us 8 ppg and 6 or 7 rpg, 20 minutes or so, even with as bad as we shoot it we would be 4-6 games better at this point in the season.
This team needs to do something special the rest of the way. No 2nd round exits in the WAC tourney because we probably woudnt even get a NIT bid.
If we can just somehow get some decent shooting from Corey and the others, we can make some noise in the WAC tourney. Big noise. We are not that far off, even though we are missing the big man that KR SHOULD HAVE been able to bring to Ruston...
