So is God going to save us from GW? Is he going to come back and rescue us? Therefore we can do what we like?

Assumes facts not in evidence; He is here already; no.

Jaws 2? Its been slow, but were getting into the beginning of the Cape Verde season. One of the biggest lows I have ever seen move off Africa this early...

Global warming is easy to accept if a person has lived in Northwest Arkansas as long as I have.

Aub, I don't think it's a matter of denying that it's warmer. I think the difference in opinions is why is it warming. Some say it's manmade, some say it's a cycle.

It's just another cycle proven by science, geology as a matter of fact, too many times to count. I wish it was getting cooler instead because I hate hot weather. But at this point it's not. Maybe a major volcanic eruption will happen soon spewing ash by the millions of tons into the air and drop the worldwide temp about 2 degrees. That would be huge and it has happened on a even larger scale before. No wait, Aub wouldn't like God's natural polution and AC either. :icon_roll

Yep. More CO2 in the atmosphere in more than 600,000 years. It is a cycle my ass.

Wow, checkout these water temps in the gulf. 86- 88+ degrees this early? Close to the coast and out hundreds of miles in every direction....Not good. This unfavorable enviroment (wind shear, probably not a reduction in "sun spots") cant last forever. Hopefully we luck out this year with these temps, thats all Im saying.

because with water temps that warm even complexes of thunderstorms, like this one, have a chance of getting started quickly..

Actually, 600,000 years is a drop in the bucket, minuscule in fact, compared to the earth's possible geologic time scale.

Tyler, I thought you were a young earth guy?

Could you prove to me that global climate has changed as fast as we are seeing it without some catastrophic event?

I am a recently retired Christian Geologist. Tough blend in my field. I do think that man has only been around 6000+ years but how old the earth is goes back to what is a day in the life of GOD per the creation account in the Bible. Anyway, a couple of degrees hotter over your 600,000 year post is nothing and not fast for sure. But the earth's temperatures have always cycled to both of the extreme opposite ends of the spectum. Besides temp. you also had drastic sea level changes that flooded continents and then left them bone dry. But the important thing it that GOD is in control and it happened in however long HE choose to make it happen. IMHO, everything else pales in significance.
