There is for Tech students.
SGA is sponsoring a bus trip to Texas A&M.
$50 for a ticket
$20 for a seat on the charter bus
It doesn't get any better than that.
If there is enough interest we will try to secure another bus.
There are already over 30 students signed up.
PM me ASAP is you would like a spot reserved.
We have a group of 8 going! We will probably be right under the student section again like last time. Hopefully this time I will be able to turn around and laugh at them. Let the pre-game, game, and post-game festivities begin. Watch out College Station the dawgs are coming to town.
This is the kind of activity the BB&B could/should get behind. Why can't the BB&B raise the money necessary to bus 100 Tech students to College Station for the game?
Unfortunately, at $70 per head ($20 for the bus and $50 for the game ticket), the cost is exhorbitant in this case. Shame on Texas A&M for charging $50 for student tickets. (I wonder if Jim Oakes could get them for a cheaper price for Tech students?)
Anyway, for future games (e.g. LSU in 2007) this should strongly be considered. If we can get 100 BB&B members to fork over $50 each, we could donate $5,000 and send 100 Tech students (at $50 each) to one of these nearby BCS games. All courtesy of the BB&B.![]()

That is a great idea hogdawg. I'm willing to fork over some for that cause. Students being able to go to the games is a very important part of building the Tech following!

hd,
in my five years at tech, and all the traveling i did, i never paid a "student" fee for away tickets. every ticket i purchased from tech was bought at face value. there were no discounts to students. i don't know if this is standard operating procedure or not, though.
fortunately for these students, they are paying $10 less per ticket than i did. if you buy the tix from the tech ticket office, they go for $60 a pop. not $50.

Yes. The ticket office is not charging SGA the $10 Tech markup.
It actually costs over $40 for each seat on the bus. SGA will use the profit from the gameday t-shirts to help offset that cost.
It's not too late for BBB to help this season. There is a WAC game in Hawaii that at least 100 Tech students would love to go to.![]()
I was quoted $45 for a Clemson ticket. And, I just found out that I don't have to work that day. I may get to see my dawgs this season after all!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!![]()
Seriously, I still have a daughter attending a $ m and will be in attendance. Bringing my pad so I can take notes on LaTech formations, players, etc. Hell, NT needs all the help they can get!
Ha! Good thing we can maintain a good sense of humour in all of this. As bad as we played against Texas in the first half, alternating QB's, the #2 QB comes out on the first series of the second half and orchestrates a beautiful 80 yard scoring drive. Combination of running playes and passes - they all worked. "Only" down 28-7 at that point. Our next series, we're back to the #1 QB who did absolutely nothing. Go figure. Then everything went downhill from there.
Here's a link to the A&M ticket reseller web site. There are some Tech tickets available here. Also there's a link to a view of the stadium to show you where the ticks are located.

Yeah, I love how the aggies stick us down there by the goal line where you can't see a thing. I think I'll sit behind the south endzone again.
Anybody know where the Clemson tickets are?
