She was a high school all american. She would be playing at Tech because we need a big center now. She is probably good at Auburn just not needed in their scheme right away. If Fortner were not going to Auburn, Carrier was on her way here. I think we needed her more. This girl is physical and 6'7. no use crying over it now

Cassie Moore has a verbal to Auburn. I still haven't seen that Collier has selected any college. Wonder how her grades are. She looks like a good find to me, if she is eligible and we have done well in Texas in the past. I would be surprised if Texas, A&M, and Texas Tech aren't all over this girl from Pittsburg, Texas.

One of the girls on the list is Kelsey Bone from Dulles High School in Sugarland. She's an old school Venus Lacy/Erica Westbrooks built 5. She's 6-4 and a sophomore. She improved a LOT from the start of the season to the end.

And Nneka Ogwumike plays at Cy-Fair. She's a junior - listed as 6-1 but I'm saying she's at least 6-2 or 6-3. She plays inside/outside - huge hands, smart, works hard. And then her younger sister Chinney is a sophomore. She improved significantly from the beginning of the season to the end as well. Cy-Fair played in the 5A state finals so there are clips of the games at the link below. Nneka doesn't have any schools listed yet on any of the recruiting sites so I'm not sure what she's going to do. She is evidently an awesome volleyball player as well.

Bottom line - I enjoy watching all of them play and we could definitely use their size!

We are listed with some hard hitters for April Sykes. Looks like a TJ type player to me.

I keep getting more excited about Whitney next year when I read some older material:

She is a HUGE transfer. As I understand it, it will be a few games before she is eligible to play. Hopefully, she will be able to adjust quickly. I bet sitting on the bench those first few games is going to drive her nuts and make her even more eager to get in the game and make a difference.

The "Human Nature" side of me still wonders why she didn't come to Tech from the get go.
IMO, I think she verbally committed way too soon. Guess she's where she wants to be now.

Kim recruited this area hard when she left. She wanted Whitney more than anyone could imagine. It was a different enviroment when Whitney got there, though. Sometimes, the chemistry doesn't work out. I wish some of our girls that were dissatisfied would have had the guts to transfer at the right time.

Whitney could single handidly put us back on the map, if she gets back to form quick. She needs to be really working out this summer. Also, the 3 others coming in look to be really awesome. I can't help but be excited over the rebuilding next year.

He took over a depleted team, except for Tasha. She carried things last year. His class came in as freshmen this year. YES! It was a depleted team. I don't think any of us realized how much until the year got under way.

Honestly, why not stick the negative stuff on the negative threads? There are plenty of them. This is a thread on the great class coming in.

I want our new recruits to see that we are VERY excited to have them along with our young talent that is returning.
