    Re: Weaklings weigh down WAC

    And here is mine.

    Reardon,

Bless your petty little heart. Do you hear anybody in the SEC whine because Vanderbilt or Mississippi State are dragging them down and keeping them out of the BCS? Is USC wailing because Stanford is holding the PAC-10 back? Is Texas weeping salty hot tears over the lack of success at Baylor and Iowa State? Do you hear any team in other conferences crying over teams in their conference keeping them from the BCS? No, my friend, you do not. Nor, should we hear it in the WAC. Did any team in the WAC keep Boise from a BCS bowl last year? I don't think so, Bubba. What will keep Hawaii from a BCS berth this year has nothing to do with their conference games. You might want to check with Hawaii's AD on this one. What will truly be detrimental to their success is that no one will consider a team with not one, but TWO I-AA games on their OOC schedule for the BCS. If they aren't careful over here, where they consistently play poorly, they may not even make it to their own little Hula Bowl this year.

It delights me that you consider LA Tech weak. I do hope the Rainbows come over here expecting last year's leftovers. It will be the most rude awakening they've ever received, I guarantee.

I would also like to ask you when you last visited Ruston, Louisiana? Have you ever been to Ruston? Have you ever even left your little island?

You might also keep in mind, Mr. Reardon, that the sun doesn't shine up the same dog's behind every day. Which mean, sir, teams have good years and teams have bad years and now just happens to be Hawaii's turn to shine, so they should enjoy it while it lasts. And while we had a bad year last year, it does not define our entire program's success and the sun will soon be shining on LA Tech. Then you are going to feel very foolish for making these ridiculous, petty and ill-informed comments about Louisiana Tech and Ruston, LA.

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing... He looks like a Hawaii alum who has dreams of Hawaii being a top 10 team.

It just amazes me that Hawaii is this full of themselves before the season starts. Yes, they should be pretty good this year, but they are putting their cart WAY before the horse. I hope they fall flat on their A@#$. Wouldn't it be great for them to really slip and fall into the bottom 3 this year!

WAC conference standings for Tech and Hawaii since Tech joined the conference
    2001 - Tech 1st Hawaii 4th
    2002 - Tech 7th Hawaii 2nd
    2003 - Tech 7th Hawaii 4th
    2004 - Tech 3rd Hawaii 4th
    2005 - Tech 3rd Hawaii 4th
    2006 - Tech 8th Hawaii 2nd
I would hardly call us a consistant weakling of the WAC.

Good stats, especially when it is clear that Hawaii has not been above 2nd since we entered. We have come in higher than them half the time. Ignorant idiots......

The article and other comments coming from the island are absurd, misinformed and should be challenged. Personally, I hope Hawaii does well this year (except against the 'dogs) and continues to help build the reputation of the WAC. I hope all the teams do well to soldify the WAC as the top non BCS conference. Let's ride the wave created by Boise's success last year. As ungracious and boorish the Hawaii team is, they certainly are fun to watch. I even think the Haka thing is entertaining. They just are a bit stupid to put down another conference mate rather than promote the the overall strength of the conference. Pat Hill knows how to do this. I love the way he brags about the WAC's bowl success.

    Re: Weaklings weigh down WAC

Best way to shut 'em up is to beat them. Last time they came to Ruston, we knocked their QB around pretty good and our defense had their offense off-balance all night long. Hope we see more of the same this year, then it won't matter what this guy wrote. Just a few more weeks to wait...

Rare breed, I tell ya. Incredibly arrogant, especially considering their recent performance. Since as far back as I can remember, they have always acted like the baddest thing going, seemingly not knowing or caring that the rest of the world sees them as a bunch of clowns who talk to much. Exactly why I started the We must never forget thread awhile back...

Sorry, Im not grown up enough to pull for them in anything, no matter the circumstances. I hope they fall flat on their face and dont even qualify for a bowl. IMO, the league may not benefit from having them in the spotlight.

That basement closet that hasnt been cleaned out in years can look pretty ugly if you shine a light into it.

I hope they fail, as well. They can win all their OOC games, but I would be fine if they get their butts kicked in every conference game. After all, if they don't win a WAC game, that means that another WAC team is winning.

I just sent this to the poi addict.................

    "...........................
Regarding your infantile article relegating La Tech to a group “holding Hawaii back”, just answer one question……..

How many WAC championships has Hawaii won in the last 6 years ?????????

And then ask another one……..How many has La Tech won?????????

I think the Rainbow “Warriors” come up a little short in this comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................. ......
