Could you post a little about what you see today and over the weekend?
I'll be there ... happy to give a report (especially on the walk-ons!)
We went in and watched practice for a while. To say the new floor is impressive is a vast understatement. While I was in there Coach Rupp was coaching several players on free-throw technique. I can't describe it but the man was coaching each player on such small technical points of the release or setting their feet. Very calm but very explicit and detailed. And they listened! And the ball went through the hoop when they did it how he said to do it, time after time after time. He coaches, they listen and perform. I like it!
Basketball season comes at a bad time of year for me, but I'm carving out some time this year and making some games.
I think Lonnie Cooper led the nation one year in FT shooting -
Outside of that - I can't name another men's player who was automatic....
I want to say Brooke led the nation one year for the women alos -
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
OK, who is #50? He's a big boy with some moves. I was very impressed with everything I saw. One of the coaches came over and talked to my kids. Now they are pumped about coming to games.
Wasn't there a pg in the 85-89 years that was an 80%+ free throw shooter? Brett or Brent? I remember him hitting some big shots for us back then.
Leon Barmore used to hit 8-10 out of 10 with his eyes closed when he was coaching at Ruston High.
I know Brooke was a phenom at the line.
