Are there any contacts here for car loans??
I'm trying to find out where Jeff Parker went, and am in contact with Dan Caldwell in Vivian as well.
S'port Federal said 9%. Little high for me.

Here's the new one. My main concern is that the accident that it was in was bad enough to replace the fender, hood and bumper. Did it mess with other things that's going to cause me more trouble in the end?? Did it mess up the frame?? Alignment??
A car for less than Blue Book (17K) and only 10K miles has me a little worried, so do you think that it's a good buy??
Also, see if you can get pictures of it before it was repaired to see if it was hit at an angle that might have caused the frame to be bent. Also, I noticed that it said the only warranty it had left was the balance of the manufacturer's warranty. Well, it's a 1994 and Acura has a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, as I remember, so that's not in effect anymore.
It says it has a clear tiitle (thus, wasn't totaled)
Did you run a CarFAX on it?
There are also a number of these types of places that will do a full inspection:

I could go check it out too if you'd like.
If you buy it, you're going to have to change your user name to RicerBoyMarvin.
I would be leery of any car that has been wrecked, unless it was just exceptionally inexpensive (because then you theoretically have the money for necessary repairs).
And as Dirty mentioned, anything that had even a subtle effect on the alignment could result in perpetual tire and front-end problems.
On the other hand, hood, bumper (assuming cover only, not the internal mechanism), and fender could conceivably be exceptionally minor for today's modular car body. However, driving it may or may not reveal any more subtle structural problems that could haunt you later.
Finally, is it cheaper than KBB retail, private party, or trade? Being cheaper than retail is not necessarily much of a deal.
dont buy saturn; i echo that
The search for a new car is over. I present to you the Badonkadonk.

Read the review by Billy Boy at the bottom.
The way I make these decisions is to consider how much less it is than I am prepared to pay. If I were prepared to pay the 20k KBB value and find one for 14k, then I figure it is worth the gamble that I won't have more than 6k in additional repairs over the next 3 years than I would have had paying the full value for a supposedly pristine car.
I did that with my last car. I was prepared to spend $4k for a car. I found one for $2k in decent shape but a few unknowns due to age. I bought it based on the idea that if I didn't have to spend more than $2k over the next three years in major repairs then I came out okay. (In reality I put almost $2k in it the first year, so hopefully it won't need anything else major anytime soon).
As for the car you are looking at, the extent of the damage could go either way. The way cars are made these days, even a very minor incident could result in the hood, bumper cover, and fender being replaced. On the other hand, I would be concerned at front-end or frame damage that might have gone unnoticed (the car equivalent of a "stress fracture") that may haunt you later with alignment problems, which in turn will cause you to go through tires like crazy. If you get someone to drive it, they may be able to pick up on a more significant problem that has just been ignored if the car is pulling, but may or may not pick up on more minor problems. Of course, any car may have been driven roughshod over potholes and such and have the same problems, and you'd never know. I guess my fear would be knowing that "something" happened to the car, but not knowing what.
The other thing I might be concerned with is any damage to the electronic systems that could be annoying later. It also doesn't sound like they replaced the airbags, but that would be a plus in my book.
I bought a car that had had the driver doors, hood, fender, and bumper cover replaced. It turned out it hadn't been in an accident, per se, but the person's ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend took a baseball bat to it.
oOoOo... this is the first time I actually saw pictures of this one... ITs very nice looking! I agree with dirty... have you checked to see if they can show you pictures of it before it was repaired...
