This 07-08 Season

This was not a very good season for Men's Basketball, but I am proud of this team. They never gave up and kept on fighting. They could've just given up, but they didnt. This team fougnt hard every game and they deserve alot of credit. They might have won only 6 games this season, but they were all hard fought victories. Rupp worked with what he had this season and did what he could. I'm proud of these guys for the heart and determination they had. And I can't wait til next year. Congrats guys on giving it 100% on every game

I like a team that plays hard all game. I like the way our guys on the bench were into the games and cheered for their teammates. Chemistry should be superb next season to go along with our talent.

Actually I bought first time season tickets saw more men's games this year than any one of the past 30. My wife and I enjoyed them tremendously and are ready for the new season RIGHT NOW!!!

Thanks guys and coaches. I'm proud to be a DAWGS fan. Let's have 3,000 a game in the WAC for 2008-09.

Short on wins, long on heart... Yes, Rupp is buillding something special for the future, I just wish I was close enough to see it.

Like I mentioned in another thread, I will predict right now we lead the nation next year in number of wins increased over this year.

Stevie P., a radio host down here in Lafayette said this morning that our scout team was probably better than the team we put on the floor this year. He told his caller we would be very good next year. I was amazed that he could name all the big guns sitting out this year. I guess it is his livelyhood though.

And yes, these guys deserve a big pat on the back.

I bought season tickets and gave them back to Tech due to distance. So I didn't see a single game. From what I hear on this board, the team can hold its head high with the effort they gave. I will try to make a few games next year since I won't have to travel to my inlaws up North next year and will contribute another season ticket to Tech provided they fill the seat. Congradulations Coach and Team for not giving up.

I watched about 4 or 5 games and listened to 3 games this year. I have to say, they never gave up. Our dawgs played their hearts out on the floor night in night out. I can't wait for our revenge next year - "there will be blood." :icon_wink:

The first month or so, it was very FRUSTRATING to watch this team -

The last month or so, it has been a JOY to watch this team -

They could have packed up shop in December and went home, but they didn't and that's a credit to not only the kids for not giving up but also for the staff for keeping them focused on the goal -

They were ALOT more competitive than anyone would have guessed after the OOC start -

I hope the CORE of this team is back next year, they deserve to play with the new comers

Absolutely.

People should be talking about the "Spirit of 08" MBB team for decades to come. These dudes fight like hell, and much of next season's likely success MUST be attributed to what occured this year.
