WAC Cup Standings

Louisiana Tech already has a Women's Cross Country team. It is one of their 16 sports. Gary Stanley (the track head coach) also coaches the Cross Country teams (Men's and Women's).

They (the Women's team) participated in the 2007 WAC Cross Country Championships. See page 2 of the first link below. One of women received a DNF which may have caused the team to receive a "N/A" instead of a number in the Cup standings.

Just thought some would want to know that ULM/NLU ended up 11th out of 13 teams in the Sunbelt. ULL is only one spot ahead of ULM. The ULM's also are arguing that the are in one of the best spots to be in their conference because they won baseball this year, basketball last year, and beat Bamma in football last year. What they are not considering is that they play on the weak side of the Sunbelt in Basketball, ULL was to be the team in baseball this year in baseball and was ranked #23 at the beginning of the year but fell apart (Thus the high conference baseball ranking) but floundered, and though they beat a depleted Bamma- they lost to UNT. If they are the big thing in the Sunbelt that is scary! The WAC is still much better.

you guys are going to do better next year.... and i hope fresno continues to grow in all its sports.... its great seeing all the teams in the conf getting better all the time..

and just adding fresno is going to win it this year... they need 3.75 to win with baseball to go... and the baseball team is going to get no less then 4.5 points since we won the reg season title.... its nice but it really doesnt mean anything in the long run.... im happy we won it so we dont have to hear how great Boise is for a while
