Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
Today, it's one of my desert island CDs. Van Morrison~Moondance. There is just not a bad track on the entire CD. Into The Mystic is one of my all time favorites. My first experience with this album came in 1988 when I was at Tech Rome. Two lovely ladies from California turned me on to Van and I have been a huge fan ever since. His newest release In Session is great as well and after listening to it I had to revisit Moondance.

Eisley - Room Noises
Rush 2112, let the hazing begin. No I haven't been doing bong hits. I just love the music.
Bone Thugs - Change the World
Glenn Miller
jars of clay -- furthermore (the studio disc)
Speaking of that Dwayne, I'm beginning to believe that the advent of the CD and easy down loadable music has killed the artistry of Rock and Roll. I think the days when you could only put about 10 tracks out at a time made the artist focus on putting out quality material. Now you can put tons of tracks out so they just throw every little bit of crap they have recorded. There are exceptions but for the most part it's really all about the single, downloads and even worse ring tones. As much as I loved the CD format when it came out, right now I am really missing Vinyl.
Oh and so I don't completely hijack the thread, today it's B.B. King and Friends.
The Scorpions - The Zoo
and
KISS - War Machine (the ONLY good KISS song!)
It's almost 8:00 AM, sitting on the patio, beautiful morning. Feeling like a James McMurtry type of morning!!

But even in the days when the only way to release music was on vinal, you still got albums that were one or two singles and a bunch of filler. Heck, you could make money on a 45 single. Then when you wanted more money, you threw together 9 weak tracks to fill out a full-length album. At least today, artists know that if they don't put out enough good songs to justify buying the whole thing, consumers can cherry-pick the good stuff and leave the rest to rot.
I think it is more about personal artistry and accountabilty to your fans than the medium.
And today I'm listening to Come Together:America Salutes the Beatles and The Very Best of Marvin Gaye. Maybe The Jeff Healey Band's cover songs cd later (Cover to Cover).
