I'm sorry, I just don't see Boise State going to the Mountain West ever. I don't know why people speculate that kind of mess, because clearly, the MWC is not better than the WAC. All this means is that the WAC will continue to beat ass in the Humanitarian Bowl, because you end up with the best WAC team not to be in a BCS or at-large bowl, versus a lowly #8 ACC team or #5 MWC team... Big deal.

I think for locale purposes they should go after a PAC-10 team to boost attendance for the bowl

If they add MWC to the bowl, they should get something in return.

It really sucks to play the MWC in 2/3's of our guaranteed bowls.

Maybe, but it beats some other options.

Boise's President has gone on record MULTIPLE times about how he would like Boise to be in the MWC. They would be gone in a flash. Once every 2 or 3 months an angry WAC poster will put an article on the WAC board with some quote from Kustra stating how he wants to move and everyone will rag the Boise fans about it.

Well, yeah - absolutly. But I meant we would jump to MWC in a heartbeat, too.

If all that happened, they might as well dump the WAC and send the lowlies to the new Sun Belt Western Division.

If CUSA continues to be a 1-bid MBB and just so-so football conference, I question whether they will be the best option available to us when a conference re-alignment occurs, especially if that re-alignment is 5 or more years from now.

It will be the best -

While the competition in the WAC is 2nd to none as far as the non-BCS conferences are concerned - the perception is that it lags behind CUSA, MWC and MAC and is only slightly ahead of the Sunbelt -

I don't see any huge break-ups other than the MWC raiding the Boise, Fresno and/or Nevada - leaving the other WAC schools scrambling to find a home -

CUSA and the MWC will survive -

Let's just hope we have a chance to get in CUSA - a conference that would ENERGIZE our fan base like nothing before has - if its not CUSA, then may the good LORD help us....
