We were in MUCH better condition than they were. They were worn slap out. See y'all laughed at me when I posted that article from MSU's first day of camp and Croom was saying what poor condition they were in - WE were in MUCH better condition. Wish I couldve been there instead of loading up a car with all my junk. The game was awesome, the field looked great on TV, the crowd was loud, and the team played great! This should be an exciting season!

Good call. The announcers even mentioned in the 4th quarter all of the MSU guys standing with their hands on their hips and breathing hard....I really think that MSU thought this would be a cake walk. HOWEVER, I also think that is because our offense kept the ball out of their hands most of the night. Our defense was rested. can't wait to see TOP. I know they gained more yards than us, but TOP had to be in our favor.
The stadium looked awesome. The lines for the center concession stand was impossible (West side). Lucky for me most people were unaware of other two concesssions stands. My trips were rather quick.
It was a great college football atmosphere today in Ruston. The tailgating was awesome. People were everywhere. This is how it is supposed to be!
25,224...the largest actual crowd in Aillet Stadium history. Get rid of the JOakes/Reneau inflated NLU game count that is listed as the stadium record becuse there were far fewer people in attendance that night than tonight.
One of first shots I saw on TV made it clear the crowd would be under 28K...the entire SE added wing was just about empty and so was last permanent section below in that same corner. The SW corner was almost as empty. The only basically full corner was the NE. I never got a full look at the NW corner but it looked like there were some empties in the lower section in that corner.
Give it up for the real DAWGS!
Our fans were amazing the whole game. It was so loud on TV!!! I so jealous of you guys who made it to the game. You guys just witnessed some really special moment of Tech's history.

I meant CHAMP (costume CHAMP). I was on West side and never saw him once. Maybe I was not looking hard enough but we are right in the center on the lower level and he never passed by. I did get to see MSU version of CHAMP but the kids were scared of him.

TOP was actually NOT in our favor. 32 minutes for msu and 28 for us.
I am certain Gustav cost us at least a 2-3 thousand fans. I have several MSU friends who had planned to go but had to stay behind for various reasons, and a several Tech friends from south LA as well that stayed behind to pack.
