We aren't the only team that isn't interested in a rivalry with their next door neighbor. There seems to be a lot of similarities with USF/UCF as there is with Tech/ULM. They are about the same size, in close proximity, and in different conferences but the Bulls have their sights set on bigger and better things. I thought is was interesting. I really like the quote from USF's assistant coach:

"They've had a football program a lot longer than we have. All of sudden we come in and all of sudden we're the bad guy? It seems UCF has missed on a great opportunity along the way and now wants to kind of attach to us."

We played ULM in volleyball because a two-year contract had already been signed. The other sports (baseball, softball, track, etc.) had not yet signed contracts, so no ULM games soon with them. MBB already had signed a 6-year deal, so all those will be played.

As for v-ball....as bad as we've been recently, ULM might seriously have the absolute worst volleyball team in the country. And that makes me smile.
