Time is your friend. Impulse is your enemy. -John Bogle
I always liked Matt Damon. I thought he was smart enough to keep his yap shut about politics. Obviously not; thus, I won't be running to the theatre anytime soon to catch his movies...no matter how good they may be. He is in the same league as Sean Penn now!
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
I like FAG, but its Screen Actors Guild.
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
FAG, SAG, doesn't matter, they all GAG........
I'm not going to boycott his movies just because he's dumb enough to open his mouth. If we did that with everyone that opens their mouth, there wouldn't be a movie available to go see!
This guy has been a liberal mouthpiece for several years. Hell, the whole cast of the "Ocean's" movies are all socialists. Most of them do good deeds with their celebrity and should be applauded for that. To boot, they are also all really good actors (in my opinion), Damon included. I really enjoyed the Bourne series. But these guys are morons whose opinions are no more valuable that anyone else's -- they just have a platform from which to spew their liberal angst. The only way they will ever learn a lesson and keep their mouths shut is when their popularity starts to fade. People who don't agree with them can and should make that happen. Then, when they can no longer make the money they were previously making, we will see just how much they actually believe the crap they've been spewing. In the end, these guys are all about making money, maintaining their wealth, and being adored and loved by their fans. If Clooney, Damon, Penn, and Baldwin never worked again, I wouldn't lose a bit of sleep.
What a bag of hot air!
There are plenty of John Wayne, Robert Duvall, Jimmy Stewart, et al. movies out there!
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
Only Liked:
John Wayne - The Longest Day, Sands of Iwo Kima, The Quiet Man, Hellfighters
Robert Duvall - i know he's been in some movies i've liked, can't think of any though
Jimmy Stewart - The Glenn Miller Story, The Flight of the Phoenix, and that's all i can remember him in...
i suck, i know... i'll watch more one day, just no time right now
You don't suck...you're just young!
The Searchers was the inspiration for all the Star Wars movies...one of John Wayne's best. In Harm's Way and They Were Expendable are 2 good WWII films.
Duvall is classic in Open Range, Secondhand Lions, and Tender Mercies...but I don't think he's ever made a bad movie.
Stewart is great in Winchester 76 and Anatomy of a Murder; of course, he was great in most of his movies.
I'm an asshole! What's your excuse?
