FSU is taking it to Kansas. 4th quarter. Tied 34-34. Amazing game.
Thanks. They are a good team, but they are not the "Top 10" team a lot of people on here were proclaiming them to be -- I'd put them in the lower third of the Top 25. I do think it's funny that every time we play one of these teams and lose, the same 5 or 6 people come on here and act as though we lost to the presumptive National Champion (in the case of our most recent LSU games, they were correct). The fact of the matter is that we're getting better (our defense holding them to under 30 in Lawrence, KS, was no small feat), but we've still got some ground to cover before we can consistently compete with Top 25 teams on the road.
BTW, I hope the folks on here proclaiming a KU blowout win last night didn't put any money on the game... ouch.

Well, I'm the only one (to my memory) who said KU should win easily...and they should have. They had several opportunities to blow it open and they choked.
Now I've got to come back here and eat some crow because Mangino's boys didn't have the killer instinct...thanks a lot KU!

Ha-ha. I was just kidding... I know you don't gamble... and this is the exact reason why I don't -- I would lose every penny I had.
There is a lot of parity in college football this season. It will be interesting to see which teams rise to the top and which fall like rocks. Although you will still see it from time to time, I think the days of teams winning in blowout fashion are over... but I wouldn't put any money on it.![]()
No... I didn't have anyone in particular in mind, just a general observation. I'm bad about posting too quickly after a loss while I'm still mad... typically included will be a comment about how the team that beat us wasn't as good as everyone thought... there are others who take the opposite stance and are quick to defend the loss by saying how good the team was. The Kansas game was no exception. I honestly didn't believe they were all that stellar, but they were better than I was willing to admit. At the same time, the usual suspects came on to make excuses for the loss by saying how good Kansas was. I think the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle...
