i'm not hoping for any such thing. i only hope for an end to the monopolistic rules that college athletics are now governed by. just level the playing field for capitalistic competition. that's all i ask.
what we have now is more of a stalin-type animal farm socialism, where supposedly everyone is equal, while in reality the few elite are "more equal than others."
No, we have good old-fashioned American capitalism, where a few super-rich control the means of production and limit access to the market by eating up marketshare, and the rest of us hope to get a trickle-down effect that we can all benefit from. The rich get richer and the poor fight for the scraps.
The B(c)$ schools own the means of production and have dominant marketshare, so they are going to be on top anyway. They just added a layer of autocracy on it. :icon_wink:
as long as there is true capitalism, there is room for innovative newcomers to compete. the problem is the illegal cartel that the bcs conferences have set up. i know it would still be a huge uphill battle for an institution like Tech to climb its way to the "top level," but at least it would then be possible in theory.
This is the first presidential election that I'm really disgusted with...from both parties. Thinking about not voting at all.

Why do callers to radio talk shows call in and say, "Hey, Joe Blow, how do you think ElEssEwe looked last night? I'll hang up and listen."
For the life of me I'll never understand why a phone-call-driven show would continue to center around the host/hostess and their thoughts. Are the callers nervous. Are they clueless. Do they have no opinion how ElEssEwe looked last night? Or does the radio host/hostess make callers feel uneasy that they might get shot out of the water if they make the wrong comment?
I'll go ahead and post this and read . . . .

Drop off line at school...who are these people who decide to finish packing lunches, look over graded papers, finish dressing their kids, ect. just as the kids should be exiting the vehicle?
Pick up line at school.
Parents are camped out 45 minutes before their students are dismissed . . . after mine. And I have to get out of my car and walk up there and grab him . . . or wait for who knows how long.
