I was listening to the Tech game vs Army until the radio internet feed went dead.

Well, I am wearing a Tech shirt and I am so pissed off that I will probably take it off.
Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”

Smashing Pumpkins - 7 shades of black. My iPod shuffle dj is hitting my Pumpkins library pretty hard.

Nothin' but a good night - Poison
ZZ top
Panama - Van Halen
time for a game of "name the movie soundtrack" (two of the best ever):
1) "people walkin' 'round ev'ry day playin' games and takin' scores
tryin' to make other people lose their minds, well be careful you don't lose yours"
2) "well lazarus, to the high sheriff
says i ain't gonna be arrested.
well lazaras, to the high sheriff
says i ain't gonna be arrested
by no one man.
lawd, lawd, by no one man."
Utada Hikaru
Did Hum have much else besides Stars? I loved that song but that was way before itunes and satellite radio so I never heard much more. The Toadies are incredible and I want their new album. Have you checked out Burden Brothers? That's Todd Lewis (lead singer) other Dallas based band. I got one of their discs and its pretty good as well. Anyone have Candlebox's new album? I just jumped on the end of this thread so have no clue if it was talked about in the last 35 pages.
I listen to Lucy on XM a lot and its a real nostalgia trip straight out of high school in the 90's. I remember when Sponge and Ruth Ruth and Tripping Daisy would play in Shreveport all the time. Ethel is great for newer stuff. Thanks to that, I now love Muse and I'm shocked to hell that I actually like Snow Patrol now. I've been listening to O.A.R. since 99 or so but glad to see they've hit mainstrem. I heard Rusted Root on the way to work this morning and couldn't believe it. I though I was the only person who'd ever heard of them

Yes, they had 3 albums.
Electra 2000 - Good first album, but I wouldn't listen to this one until you listen to their other two. This album was recorded before they developed their defining Space Rock sound. I think it is easier to appreciate once you understand what the band is about.
You'd Prefer an Astronaut - most notably, the album with "Stars". However, the flip side of the album has my favorite album tracks - "Why I like the Robins", "I'd like your Hair Long", and "I Hate it Too". "The Pod" is a track from this album you may have heard before, since it was also played on college radio stations during the "Stars" era.
Downward is Heavenward - My favorite of all the albums. This has layers and layers of guitars. The highlights to me are "Isle of the Cheetah", "Comin Home", "Afternoon with the Axolotis", "Green to Me", and "The Scientists." The album is structured very well to listen from start to finish without feeling compelled to skip a track. This album is Space Rock at its finest.

Leadbelly - In The Pines
