A woman that goes to LA Tech put in her "profile" in response to Obama's election:
Someone took a picture of her profile and posted in a group in this social networking site. The group garnered attention from a number the black population of Louisiana Tech and other colleges. Right now there is about 1,000 people subscribed to the group entitled "LINDSEY BOGGS, THE EXPOSED RACIST...SLAP HER IF YOU SEE HER!""Lindsey is going to shoot herself before all the NIGGERS get a chance... Thats right I said it!!!! Say something!!!!!"

There is a long long history in our world of racism. The BIG HUGE difference is that White people (of which I am one) enslaved and hurt Black people throughout our history. Black persons are minorities and racism against a minority is MUCH MUCH more harmful than reverse racism against the majoirty. That is fact. Both forms or racism are wrong, but one has a history of enslaving, lynching, and even more horrible crimes. Free speech is all over the Internet and always will be, but I hate that this girl has Louisiana Tech associated with her horrible comments.
She has presented danger by enciting other racists and now is in danger herself, I am sure. She needs to transfer, change her name, and get on with her life before someone really gets hurt. However, only she can make that decision (thus the free speech).
Don't students know that Internet comments don't just disappear? They remain and employment is affected, as well. I can't imagine why anyone of any race hates others based on skin color. I guess they are leftovers of believers in what Hitler was trying to accomplish - one race. This world would be a very bland place to live with one race and it has been pretty bland having one race in power for so many years.
As for Obama, even the most conservative minded person can certainly see that history was just made. Our great country has a way of correcting itself. It wasn't that long ago when MLK Jr. delivered that historical speech. Things have changed for the better since that time in our history. I don't know if Obama is going to be a great President or not. We will find out in time, but we should be judging him on the character of the man and not the color of his skin.
This girl has a lot of growing up to do. I just hope she becomes more educated in time. I am ashamed of her representing our great University and, believe me, she is representing us.
Her and that backup center from Texas should hook up.
Would it not be an incredible 1st step toward the oval office......
And toward common sense......
And toward the politcal healing of America......
If Obama took so much as a brief moment tomorrow to make the following president-elect comment!
There's a young woman in America who has exercised her FREE SPEECH RIGHT to express her disgust with my election to the office of president of the United States.
There are also 1000 other Americans who have expressed their opinion that her FREE SPEECH somehow gives them the right to physically assault her.
As your next president, I will RESPECT the FREE SPEECH rights of the one thousand and ONE Americans who are now involved in this WAR OF WORDS.
But I shall NEVER condone any act of VIOLENCE that attempts to limit or intimidate the FREE SPEECH of ANY AMERICAN.

ONE racist American, in a sea of more than 300 MILLION Americans, could never either present or incite so much as a ripple against the shores of our shining seas......
Without extensive waves of racial hatred to foment and energize any such spirit and behavior.
AND......
As for "representing our great University"......
How could any individual student, or professor, or alumnus actually "represent" the collective mentality of even a damn near all students left behind high school......
Much less a University that has played a major role in educating all the various dawgs who routinely frequent this forum?
