So where is Mrs. Baird's now?

Also, anybody eat at Sweet Pea's lately. I haven't been there since the 90s, and I basically had no discerning taste at all back then.

Due to the absolute laws of Quantum Physics, Manlaws, The Constitution of The United States of America, and absolutely countless hours of both sober and non-sober personal research I have to say that the above statement cannot be correct in any way, shape or form...regardless of your altitude and/or speed.

Mrs. Baird's is on 167 South on the right in a new building housing 2 or 3 businessess. Just before the used car lot and EZ Mart on the right as you head South.

Don't know about Ruston, but in Baton Rouge, Starbucks has really taken a hit. I realize this is in sync with the national trend, but still, it staurated the market here with a coffee house within spitting distance of every CC's (Community Coffee) location. I take it the one in Ruston is still open.

It's kind of sad, in a way. Johnny's Pizza tried to make a dent in the local market here in the mid-80's, and they ended up closing all their locations here.

The Ruston location is pretty smart. There is nothing else right where they are, they get good local traffic, but more importantly, they get the interstate traffic. They could possibly pull off a second location, but I doubt it. I think they can maximize their profits with the current location.

There are still 3 Starbucks within a mile of my house in Kenner, and 3 within just a few blocks of where I work downtown (4 if you count the part-time kiosk inside the NO Convention Center).

Pretty much anywhere I am, I have my choice of 3 different locations to buy Starbucks within a 5 minute drive/walk.

Are the CC houses any good? They don't have any here in Ft. Worth but it's getting better. A few years back they didn't even have it on the shelves but now the grocery stores all have it and in many different varieties too.

Is it with the other "ethnic" and foreign food? :icon_wink:

I remember when my church back in Georgia was trying to put together care packages to send to hurricane victims in 2005. There were as many "special items" as we had to come up with for the "Operation Christmas Child" boxes to send to Africa. Nobody'd ever heard of "Community Coffee." We were told not to send any other brand, because people in Louisiana wouldn't know what it was and wouldn't drink it if we did.

There are 2 Starbucks within 50 yards of each other here in Coppell, TX. One is a regular Starbucks store and the other is inside a Tom Thumb grocery store in the same strip shopping center.
