They're trying to "do their own thing". They're very influenced by Dream Theater. when they write, they're all involved. It's an interesting process that they go through.

Dream Theater is a good band to draw influence from. My problem with Dream Theater is that there music has a bit of a sterile feel to me - too much virtuoso and not enough feeling.

I agree. I keep telling the guys they need to play more from the heart and less from the head. As they get more confident, you can see then maturing.

It is definitely a tricky balance to establish. It is awesome when you can make music that appeals to intelligence and emotion.

Sweet. I'm going to talk my wife into buying Shane (the drummer) his last two cymbals (his whole set was stolen at one of the gigs they did). We call him our adopted son because he's at our house all the time.

Yep. Going to try to sneak to get them. One of the guitarists is a Manager at Guitar Center. Should be able to work a deal.
