    Re: peeve of the day

When you see posts on a message board telling you to focus on this weeks opponent and not worry about who we are playing in 3 weeks or the game last week as if we were the ones actually playing the game on the field. Example: Me talking about how to shut down Boise or what we did wrong at Navy and being told "Focus on Hawaii", like me focusing on Hawaii at that very moment will somehow turn Ross Jenkins into Terry Bradshaw allowing us to beat Hawaii by 60. We are fans we have the luxury on focusing on whatever the hell we want. If I decide to focus on the BTE instead of Hawaii I think everything will still turn out allright.

    Thank you!

People who say, "I hate to say this, but..."

    DON'T SAY IT!

What they really mean is, "I enjoy saying what I'm about to say, but I don't want it to appear that I'm enjoying it."

    Announcers that say "Nearly Intercepted".

The guy covering the Saints game is ridiculous about it. Shockey caught a pass and went for 8 yards, and they guy goes with the "nearly intercepted" comment.

Yeah I don't even like it when they say caught and dropped. It was either caught or dropped it can't be both. If it was caught and dropped it would be a fumble.

Entities that insist on Social Security numbers as IDs besides the IRS. The DMV's job is to determine if I can drive or not. That's it. That's what they are there for.

People who use "core" instead of "corps" when talking about football positions, most notably linebackers or running backs.

but sometimes you may have a solid core of returning starters in your linebacking corps.
