We are playing them because of Angela. Hopefully, we can completely dominate - as we should against this school. I like scheduling a couple of easy game first to get our feet wet, then moving up in difficulty.

Interesting Tidbit: Angela is another connection to Baylor - worked there as an Assistant for 6 years prior to Mulkey, but I believe for Hogg during some of that time.

Gee, shouldn't Baylor be donating to LTAC or something? I mean, don't they owe their entire WBB program to the Lady Techsters? Can we send them a bill? :icon_wink:

Yes, I think we should send them a bill. They are basically us. We could just annex the campus. Think we could get some HUGE TIME donations to just have Tech West Campus.

Just an exhibition game, but they will play hard for Angela - which is what we need.

Although I agree that it should be an easy win, I would not write off IW. They are picked to finish first in their conference. Their size matches up with us fairly well, and they are coached by an outstanding former Techster. This team will have nothing to lose going against a one-time (and soon to be again) giant in women's basketball.

I don't think this is a "gimme" and glad to see a challenge in the exhibition. The Techsters should dominate, but if they don't, I won't take it as a bad sign. What has been missing for the past few years has been a hunger to win. I doubt that will be the same under Spoon and Park.

Here's hoping the Techster season sparkles, especially in light of the implosion of the football season. Pathetic showing this year, although I'm sure it will be labeled yet again another "rebuilding" year. Let's hope the rebuilding stops and the actual competing begins.

I just might have to take in a WBB game at IW this year wearing my TECH gear just to remind her of where she came from and to root on an old TECHSTER.

You should and I hope our Lady Techsters win by 30+. That would be a big statement to start the season.

In a week, we will against someone other then ourselves.

The exhibition games usually are not shown via Internet. Anyone know if this is true for this game?

She was an assistant for Hogg the whole time she (Angela) was at Baylor. She left for IW the year Hogg retired. That final year, she was supposedly doing the coaching--Hogg had some family issues that kept her out a lot.
