call me when you make it to a sweet sixteen. and trust me, CUSA could care less about women's basketball. when we were good we were averaging that much too. And all the talk about how you were going to show Tech up with your attendance when you played Miss. State. Well you didn't and we had a hurricane to deal with and we brought more to our game. And oh yeah, another little detail, you got your arse kicked and we won. Go back to collecting a winning record off of 5 teams in your conference that can't break two wins. as a matter of fact wasn't S. Miss the only team with a winning record you beat all year. Oh wait it was the only team besides Troy you even played with a winning record. You would have had the same record as us in the WaC except we would have had one more win. Against you.
Guys you are wasting your time arguing with 'theboro'. In his world, they are the upper echelon of mid majors. Please note the attendance to football games is only slightly larger than Tech's but look at the enrolement number compared to Tech's. We average over our attendance and they can't get but a little over half of theirs. Been to a football game there also, a whole lot of aluminum showing- better wear sunglasses if the sun is shining. Better concession stands though - a long gripe of mine about Tech's joke for concessions. They do have good sporting teams and are comparable to Tech's (good years and bad ones) but they DO play second fiddle to UT and Vandy in this area - espicially when referring to Nashville market. Also, the school grounds, buildings, etc are nothing compared to Tech's. Could compare it to Desiard Street High School (some of you will get that and some will not).
no correction. Their attendance figures are about the same for a school twice the size. This year I think we actually did better. and you are right their campus is quite ugly and after next year our facilities will be twice that of the aluminum crap hole. and just for the record boro since you are bringing up stupid bowl attendance. the indy bowl had 44k last year with about 2k there to see N. Illinois. The difference between the Shreveport market and the Nashville market is that Shreveport is quickly becoming ours while you are playing a distant third fiddle in Nashville.
I do have to give Middle's fans a little credit. They sure didn't waste any time tearing down their goal posts several years ago when they finally beat Louisiana Tech. And to think I was embarrassed by the blue footballs.
I love it when we get people on here spouting how much better they are that we are. It shows that they are worried and feel that they have to show us how good they are. The more negative we hear from these people the better.

It is sad how far behind Oakes let us slide... We now have MTSU coming on our board trying to run us down. Nothing against them but we have slid.
Expansion will be very interesting and I wonder if any of our big donors we make some commitments to get us where we want to be? Something else that will be interesting is the price of natural gas - when it takes off again there will be a lot more very weathly Tech alumni in North Louisiana.
I agree......... I find it funny.
And, Okiealdawg, we have not slid that far. We were slidding and had slid a lot, but not to that level. We are now building. That is just a flamer that we can add to the list of wannabies. Why else come on our board to state those things. You have to see it as just funny when you know that Dooley is running the show.
well we are not sliding anymore. and once these renovations are done, they will be eating their words. we already have a better tron than they do. Our athletic programs are actually on the upswing. All of them. Investment in good coaches is actually paying off. All of our programs with the exeption of maybe baseball would be dominating the belt right now. We would have won football, basketball and track and field. And not so sure we wouldn't take baseball as well
