And, in doing so, we must TRUST the men we have hired to run our program ( and which we are paying a lot of money ) to do what is BEST for Louisiana Tech. So, I have decided to put my faith & trust in Sonny & his staff & pray that they make the RIGHT decision in this case.
Frankly, I'm ready to lose a few boy scouts and pick up a few bad azzes.

I'm not kidding you one bit. If Dykes brings this thug in, you won't see me this fall. I can take a real nice vacation on the money I will save, but, I don't think Reneau will let it happen.

My first impression on this possible situation was to show the kid the door. The more I think about it, though, the more I think we should give the kid a chance. I just can't figure out a worst case scenario that trumps the potential gain. (<-- youtube link)

And, for every DonW that quits coming, we'll have 5 new faces at games just because of the buzz (be that positive or negative) around the kid.

    some fun throws:
1:10 - 30 Yds, in stride, good accuracy
1:20 - accurate pass with great 'zip' while running
3:30 - accurate, well-led TD pass while falling back (the accuracy is impressive on the replay)
    3:43 - beautiful over-the-shoulder deep pass.

The kid's running/scrambling ability is all over the video.

    Check out this blog....

    http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindduc..._masoli_a.html

I'm wondering if he was just in a bad location and making bad decisions. No doubt stealing the computer from the frat house was a bad decision and having weed (illegal in this country no matter how you feel about that) were bad decisions, but is it really THUGish?? Not sure that this is worse than half of Hawaii's football team.

If we can take the kid out of the hood and that get's the "thuggish" behavior out of him, then FANTASTIC. If he brings the thuggish stuff here, then we'll drop him like a pancake and he can go off doing whatever he wants.

His passing stats last year are not as good as Jenkins. Every time somebody mentions a transfer on here, you guys start peeing all over yourself.

He played tougher defenses, ran for 13 touchdowns, threw for 15 touchdowns, and led his team to the Rose Bowl. Yeah he will be a bust.....

They're very similar to Ross's. That's for sure. It would probably be appropriate to note that I've always been a Jenkins supporter, probably to a fault. I still feel that he's the most capable QB and leader on the roster. I'm merely stating that there is a tremendous potential in Masoli- that his potential upside is bigger than his potential downside.

Ross had a slightly better passer rating, with Masoli rated a hair lower in nearly every catagory.

However, Masoli had almost 700 yards rushing, and that on a team with over 3,000 yards rushing.

NAME- CMP- ATT- YDS- CMP%- YDS/A- TD- INT- RAT
    Ross Jenkins 172- 290- 2095- 59.3- 7.22- 17- 5- 135.9
    Jeremiah Masoli 177- 305- 2147- 58.0- 7.04- 15- 6- 129.5

    Hell yeah.

If he is surrounded by a group of leaders on our team, I believe that he will be able to stay out of trouble. If he gets in trouble drop his ass. I can already see us on sportscenter every week with the Masoli weekly update, I wouldn't mind that.

You mentioned Blount earlier. I don't understand that. Blount punched a guy. Masoli has done much worse.
Since when is petty theft worse than causing physical harm on another?
