These is no D in Louisiana Tech.
On the bright side, that saves me about 3 trips to Ruston this basketball season. I am absolutely shocked that our head coach refused to request a review when the ball clearly was last touched by UTSA in the closing seconds of the game.
As I understand it, they count paid attend. We have 10 season tickets paid for. Only four of us were in our seats tonight. All 10 of our seat should have been counted towards it. Also several other season-ticket holder’s in our section in the next section were not in attendance.
This game should have gone into overtime....with that said, if we follow this year's Tech football protocol, we'll lose 6 more games in conference by either 1 point or overtime, and then get to the conference championship, lose that one in overtime, and then get an at large, and we get to the Sweet 16, and Techsters get to another Final 4, and baseball and softball will get into the regionals, and then we celebrate the weirdest but greatest year of Tech Athletics. <sarcasm>
Come on guys and gals...us older folks have seen one or more of these in the "lesser team sports", (and that's by ESPN standards). All of our teams have power, and have had that title before, not of lesser sports, but conference champs, Sweet 16, Regional Champs, or 3 time NCAA champions in WBB. You can't give up every time there is a slump.
I thought UTSA played out of their minds...granted I haven't seen them play this year, but they looked good. That one kid who fouled out, hit some amazing shots, as well as the last kid who hit the "winning" shot (sorry, but that make was a gift from up above). But we had a lot missed chippies and open long range shots.
They made more than we did...but message is...it's a LONG WAY to season's end.
