Holtz was so over-matched last night it's sad....no, really, sad. Kiffin doesn't even care about FAU. He will be gone just as soon as possible. FAU is off of 3 straight 3-9 seasons. Kiffin comes in....in January, I think it was. That's 10 months ago. Do ANY of you actually think Kiffin had prior knowledge of the players, the coaches there, what recruiting is like for FAU? Nope. Kiffin has built this from scratch all in 10 months. And he so out-coached Holtz last night.

Butch Davis is doing okay with the other Florida twin as well. I think FIU lost last night, but still they are bowl bound and have played well. Davis won't stay at FIU for long either.

Hard to believe someone who was OC under Saban and HC for Tennessee, USC and the freakin Oakland Raiders May actually be better than what we have. FAU better have a short list because the Lane Train May not make it to the bowl game.

Sports are about being aggressive. Kiffin's players and play calling had more testerone than our weak team could handle. That's how you gain 100 more yards than the opponent and win the turnover battle but still lose by 20.

I don't know where the last three teams got their balls from but it wasn't daddy skip. I guess Dixon, Taylor, Driscoll, or other players provided. This team needs balls!

Our coaches (yes players too but mainly the COACHES) need a serious psychological adjustment. They need some time invested with sports psychologist Dr. Rob Bell. I am being 100% serious!

The coaches have to stop 'talking' about aggressive play and start DEMONSTRATING IT in our play calling, offensive pace, etc. Otherwise it is just meaningless 'talk'.

Seems like we have NO trick plays!!!! Why??? Everyone else does! And, they all work against the Dawgs!!! On a field goal try, I'd like to see the holder flip the ball back to Barnes who then throws a pass to our receiver in the end zone or runs the ball in for a touchdown. We did have a play like that years ago and got a touchdown!!

FAU run the exact same double pass last week that they threw against us. It worked both times. It's like Holtz and company don't watch film.

He said, "we lost our eyes". Ever heard that one? I haven't. That's his new term for the weekend...kinda like "rock star".

Or when he referred to our offense as a "smorgasbord" before year 2

I think I remember Holtz once saying something to the effect that only teams who can’t run a decent offense use trick plays, well hell, that’s Tech, so let’s see something innovative.

Boise St runs tons of trick plays. They would blow up Dawgzilla running up and down the field on us with their 'indecent offense'. They and several others are way in front of LA Tech in the realignment pecking order, because a 'rebuilding' season to them is a 9-win season.

Lou Holtz said that. In fact, it was before that now-famous Notre Dame-Miami game when on its opening series, Jimmy Johnson's Miami team ran a fake punt. It didn't get the 1st down and set up ND in Miami territory, and the Irish took an early 7-0 lead. After the game the ND players said they knew they were gonna win because Miami used several trick plays during the game.

I am not an advocate of trick plays. I am in favor of having an offense that is so imaginative that it appears as "trick" plays to the opposition, but is, in fact, just part of a sophisticated scheme.

Notre Dumb could’ve used a few trick plays Saturday night. That game was fun to watch.
