the reason i'm trying to do this is that nearly everything that is said on this subject (on either side) is non sequitur. we need to connect the dots to see what holds up.
Nobody said that. Look at the stats going in to 1964. Things were improving.
LBJ stated privately what he had in mind for himself and his party. Things have gone as planned for him and the socialist democrats. You'll also see the large growth in white poverty percentages which destroys the "white privilege" argument and proves it is not ALL about skin color.
Just a reminder why the socialist/anarchists have undertaken this historic "issue." The evil ones, and their mind-numb puppets like goosey, want to destroy the USA. To do that they have to eliminate the Law of the Land, our Constitution. It's hard to argue against the points of the Constitution point by point, on its merits. You'd come across as an idiot. So, the evil-ones, and their willing puppets like goosey, chose another approach. Attack those who wrote the Constitution. The Founding Fathers were slave owners, so anything they did, even writing the Constitution, has to be "evil" by association. Never mind that it brought forth the greatest nation in the history of Earth (only ancient Greece can make a claim for that lofty status....but the Greeks held slaves too, so too bad for them). Never mind, while our history has had its flaws, like slavery, we have also taken steps to right the wrongs. None of that matters...because, and here's the rub, it's not about our history. The evil socialist/anarchist don't give a rat's azz about the slaves of 150+ years ago. They don't care about their descendants. It is just a tool to be used to destroy the US Constitution and thus the US and thus rid the world of the one nation that can, and would, stand up to the evil socialist/anarchists.
That is what George Soros, and all of his paid flunkies, are about.
so, not interested in defining a problem and analyzing it? clearly not interested in fixing it...
Already been done. Feel free to read up on it.
The “problem” is multifaceted in that there is a disparity in wealth, income, job opportunities, criminimal justice, education, housing and political power. The problem is perpetuated by many things including overt racism, implicit bias, economics, and laws by those that have maintained power - white people.
No simple way around it. Too many sources to read - you could study a full undergraduate’s degree worth of material on the subject and then still go deeper in a graduate degree level of study into many facets of systemic racism.
But if you want something more casual, you can read this while eating some ice cream:

Maybe we can educate it our of existence.
Some people are educated beyond their level of comprehension.
How about 1,000's of years of the slavery OF whites?
First off, you know me better than to accuse me of attempting to mislead. You really think I am intentionally stating things I know to be untrue in an effort to deceive people? That's BS and you know it. You've been able to read my posts for over 14 years and I've never done what you accused me of. In truth, I don't think you think I'm trying to mislead. So, why did you say it?
Here's my guess: Trumpism is tribalism. When I disagree, I'm not a friend with a different view, I'm an enemy. That's identity politics. For 8 years, I've read folks rightly decrying the left for engaging in identity politics. Trump comes along and the right embraces it because it leads to a win (a win that ANY of the 28 candidates could've delivered). It's an abandonment of logic and it's beneath most of the folks that I've been reading on this forum for a decade and a half. I don't try to paint you as a Richard Spencer disciple because of your position here. I'd appreciate it if you didn't send in my Antifa application because of mine. Not only is it illogical, it's unhelpful.
I know how forums work and I don't take this stuff personally, but this was such a great example of what's wrong with Trump's tactics.
Time is your friend. Impulse is your enemy. -John Bogle
I assume you are sticking to your guns on slavery from hundreds of years ago causing the problems poor black folks experience today?
I don't embrace Trump on this particular issue. Unlike others here with a feel good solution, I've lived it and know what I've seen and experienced.
