I remember him. He was as little guy that wore big glasses. I had no idea he was the Saints OC (I'm not a Saints fan). Wow. He's done pretty well for himself.

Thanks for the kind words. Sometimes on here we beat each other up so much it is hard to believe we are fans of the same team.

This is his 10th season as the Saints offensive coordinator, but I doubt he has been calling plays that long. He was QB coach for 3 years before that. Sean Payton is a very offensive minded coach and I feel he called plays for several years at the beginning of PC's tenure. I mean why else would the Saints offensive coordinator not get a head coaching job. The Saints offense is great year in and year out. Carmichael has been rumored to have interviewed a couple of times in recent years, as his role has increased since Bountygate.

That's interesting. Carmichael never struck me as a type A, go-getter, kinda guy.

It’s shocking that he hasn’t been snatched up yet. In his 13th year working with Sean Payton. Gotta think he gets a NFL HC job at some point. I hope he sticks around because if Payton ever leaves he can keep the offense going.

Augh. Dixon has a very good game and looks possible to move up, then hurts his knee again. Dude can't catch a break.

That’s good news. Possibly a sign someone was going to steal him.

Or another team was going to sign him to their active roster now that the suspension is over. The Broncos could’ve had him on their 53-man roster and had him as one of the weekly inactives without putting him on the practice squad. I know when the Saints had Ryan Griffin on the practice squad they got notice that the Rams were going to sign him and were able to move him to the active roster ahead of time.

Actually your post was wrong. They didn’t move him to the active roster. They moved him from the suspended list to the practice squad. He’s still available to any team who wants to put him on their active roster.

He was hurt a lot for us too. One season he missed something like 4 or 5 games. Just imagine how many career TDs he woulda had had he stayed healthy here.
