    Noah - The Movie

Summary of Noah: The fallen angels fell because they helped fallen man and they were turned into benevolent rock people. Cain was still alive (or reincarnated or something) and hopped on board when the rains came; he started roasting and eating the animals.

At least we now know what happened to the unicorns.

Not a bad summary, except that was Tubal-Cain who is actually mentioned as a prominent person in the old testament.

He was the father of metal making and a fashioner of weapons.

Don't think I ever remember hearing about him making it on the Ark before though.

I somehow missed that character in the Bible. They never mentioned him once in Sunday School at Trinity Baptist in Lake Charles.

I'm also glad to know that the reason for the flood was that God was mad at man for killing animals for food and clothing. I suppose He changed his mind about wearing animal skins by Genesis 6 and made Noah the founder of PETA. God sure did kill a lot of animals to make that point.

That is the worst movie, both in production and content, that I have seen since Midnight Cowboy. ;-)

P.S. I missed Ishtar because I was studying for finals.

I expect that CAPTAIN AMERICA "THE WINTER SOLDIER" will contain more biblical truths than Noah the Movie did...

The Vegetales version was pretty good though - Larry stole the show

I had heard this movie was not a good one to go to, especially not for those of us who would rather the biblical account of things be followed.

And it evidently has evolution scenes (one cell organism all though through to a monkey/ from goo to the zoo to you) playing on screen in the background while Noah is giving the biblical rendition word for word. Go figure.

It's not a documentary, it's a dramatic movie. A person who makes a historically based movie interprets the story through her or his own lens.

Even if there wasn't already a story about Noah it would still be a stupid and poorly made movie. It is the Ishtar of the 2000's.

If you haven't read Phil Vicher's book, you need to. It's great. His podcast is pretty great, too.

I thought this was an interesting read: 'Noah' and 'God is not dead': graceless and clueless
