Tech football wore columbia blue in various uniform combinations from the early 70s through 1988. Our last game in columbia blue jerseys was the McNeese game in 1987. The last game in columbia blue pants was in 1988. We've never worn columbia blue in the I-A/FBS era.

Unpopular opinion, but I hate the white T. It looks 30 years out of date. I guess if you were gonna do the Columbia throwbacks (which I still don't like) you would need to use the old helmets, but imho our look has been improved dramatically from what it used to be.

They just changed the color. The problem here is that the red T on the red helmet doesn't work. I don't mind any combination of our colors on the State-T in any other context (provided you're not putting, say, the white T on a white helmet).

And the only reason I hate the La-State-T-ECH logo is that it's ugly. If it wasn't for that, it'd be ok (honestly, I "get" the reason for it, and can bite my tongue about the "LaTech" branding, as long as I can still find Tech stuff without it and as long as it isn't on our uniforms).

PS -- And while, again, we're on the subject of the White-T . . . the two AD staff underlings who argued we needed to be more consistent all the way across with our logo colors and style went out the window when . . . we introduced the stars and stripes logo. So, there!
