    Jericho Jones is a baller

I may be wrong, but I think Jericho Jones is the best player on tech's baseball team! Probably the best in the wac!
I mean he's a 6'5'' 205 lb. outfielder and pitcher who hits plenty of homeruns homeruns! How can u beat it?

I pity the fool who disagrees with me

This season the best player was Rike..with him gone I'd have to say Albie.

I agree, but there may be another Rike lurking in the shadows.

Thumbs Up Re: Jericho Jones is a baller

I think Jericho has the potential to be the best player in the WAC. Whether he meets expectations is a different story. Hopefully with the Soph. Slump out of the way he will have a big time Junior year!

Jericho had a nagging injury and an off season. He is a great guy, with great potential. I am hoping he makes a full rebound for next season.

He has had that groin injury since Feb 18th and has never been able to get past 80% healed up. As we speak he is on his way back to Texas to see a specialist so he can get over this nagging injury and be 100% ready for nex't season. When "Big Pappy" from the Red sox injured his hamstring this year he lost his power at the plate. These type of injuries drastically affect the batters swing. The pain causes the batter to use only his arms during the swing, nullifying a lot of his power at the plate. And of course, it also drastically affects the batters' speed on the bases & in the field. In Jericho's case it additionally affected his pitching because the groin on the right side (his push off leg) was injured. That also forces you to lose a lot of your power to pitch and you end up using your arm too much ( which can cause other injuries). Let's hope he spends the rest of summer to get totally healed up. Maybe coach Sim can use him in the same role as his freshman season. He was a weekend starter/ DH and played right field the rest of the games.

So no baseball for JJ this summer? If that's the case, I think that's wise.

No baseball.....I understand that he is shutting it down completely. That must have been a tough decision to pass up the golden opportunity of playing in the Cape Cod League ( arguably the best collegiate summer league).Like you said....it is a wise decision.

Hate to hear about his injury, hope he can come back healthy. Was he not 100% before he went to the cape and if not why in the world did he go? The only thing that can cure groin/hamstring injuries is TIME. I'm still upset that we continued to play him this year since he was never 100%. Having to fight through a slump and/or injury was just asking too much. Add to that we were playing really well at that time just didn't make sense, should have let him get completely healthy. I noticed he only had 1 AB(pinch hitter), how did he re-injure his leg, practice? Anyway, he can work his upper body over the summer and rest that leg and come back better than ever.
