I'm going to try to be positive and hope after the bye week that Skippy will have this team fired up. AND the second half will be more than just a dismal display of what we have seen...
I think maybe there is the slightest bit more offense, but I like that margin. I'll go Tech 45 UTEP 24.

Line is moving their way. We don’t cover the spread in wins so far this year. If I were guessing, I’d say we win by less than a TD.
As a fan it's all about managing expectations. Don't expect much and you are rarely disappointed. In this case, I'd say our chances of winning in El Paso are running 45-55. That is, I give us 45% chance of winning. Not because they have a better team, they don't, but because we have a dufus for a coach who excels at losing games he shouldn't. On our side of the ledger, we have superior talent and they are, after all, frickin' loser UTEP! Our chances hinge on whether those silly UTEPPERS can lose better than Skippy can. It is very possible the game will end with the Dawgs with more points on the board than those "Minors" (spelled that way on purpose) because they are just such great losers!
On the flipside, this bunch of loser UTEPPERS may not understand their place in the universe and actually expect to win. And...simple statistical probability points to Skippy losing to UTEP some day, and this might be that day. The universe abhors a vacuum and Skippy being perfect vs. someone (11-0) represents a glitch in the space-time continuum, and the forces that-be will seek to correct this anomaly.
If the past is precedent, we'll be up 24 at the start 4th, and only win by 3. Prevent Defense!!!
Yes, we'll have 6 sacks going into the 4th, but will have still given up 300 yards passing.
Suddenly, our HC decides to play it safe by sending 3 and dropping back 8 with a 10 yard cushion.
Wise words! Expect 21-20 Tech with Utep scoring 20 in the 4th quarter and not getting the 2 point conversion and you’ll be very pleased when that happens. Expect 45-0 Tech and you’ll be crushed and bitter when 21-20 happens.
...and even more so if 21-22 happens.
Holtz usually pulls it out against the bad teams. It’s the good teams that will get that 2 point conversion and win the game.
