New--New years Day Bowl SEC champ vs Big12 Champ

    http://espn.go.com/college-football/...year-bowl-game

The champions of the Big 12 and SEC conferences will meet in a New Year's Day bowl game annually beginning with the 2014 season, the conferences said Friday in a news release.
The five-year agreement calls for the champions of each conference to be in the matchup "unless one or both are selected to play in the new four-team model to determine the national championship," the statement said.
"Should that occur, another deserving team from the conference(s) would be selected for the game," the release said.
The style of the agreement will be similar to the one the Rose Bowl has with the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences.
The site of this bowl game is still undetermined.
"A new January bowl tradition is born," SEC commissioner Mike Slive said in the statement. "This new game will provide a great matchup between the two most successful conferences in the BCS era and will complement the exciting postseason atmosphere created by the new four-team model.
"Most importantly, it will provide our student-athletes, coaches and fans with an outstanding bowl experience."

What are the odds that the SEC champ and/or the Big 12 champ won't be in the new 4-team playoff for the NC?

Seems like it will always be at most, #2 vs #2

Most these days think the place sucks and is in a terrible part of town. Dallas's own version of IBowl Stadium.

That's the whole point. It's the NC runner up bowl in their eyes and will probably be pressed as such.

Excuse me...let me rephrase: I meant the COTTON BOWL GAME......in Cowboys Stadium, of course. That stadium is unbelievable.

This will hurt the Sugar Bowl which used to get the SEC champion...I mean runner-up since the SEC champion plays in the NC game....I mean in those years when the top 2 SEC teams aren't in the NC game, that is.
