In the last alumni magazine, there was an article on the evolution of our logo since Coach Lambright thought it up in 1968.
Apparently, he wanted the logo for football use only, but it was adopted by the whole university anyway.
Despite cosmetic changes to the state outline, one thing remained constant for nearly fifty (50) years... a white T with a blue state on a red helmet.
Well, that was until some morons decided to change to an invisible red T for no apparent reason last year.
Some say it was for branding "consistency." I say B.S.
It should be a tribute to Coach Lambright's original design and his desire to have a UNIQUE logo only for the football program.
Bring back the White T!
