Just shows the state of things........ LSU Orgeron (2 years removed from National Championship) reaches separation agreement with LSU (reported by CBS Sports) while we keep Skip Holtz with the administrations backing of being being happy with a 6 or maybe a good year, 7 win season playing less than stellar opponents. While I can't find myself yelling for LSU under any circumstances, I actually liked Coach O and the passion he brought forward for LSU.

Why can't we have an administration or AD that sees the state of La Tech Football and quit accepting mediocrity from Holtz?

What makes you think he hasn’t? What I saw yesterday on the field from the players and heard Holtz say afterwards tells me he’s done, he’s finished coaching and just wants someone to tell him that it’s over. It’s the relief he’s been coaching so poorly for.

Marshall fired the CUSA Coach of the Year last year... that should tell you all you need to know about the differences between administrations even at the CUSA level..

I don’t remember. USM has hired exactly one coach that was better than Bower since they canned him. We gotta do better than that.

And now they’re far less than what they were. If he’s replaced, his performance has to be the basement. One year transition, then back to bowling at minimum. I think they coaches are out there, but we may have to open up the wallets to get them.
