But... How well did that indoor building help your "football" team prepare for us the past two years?
You beat us 2 yrs in a row congrats. I don't recall bad wether and having to use the indoor facility the week we played LOUISIANA TECH so not sure if it helped hurt or made a difference. The only reason I chimed in here is because you guys obviously want an indoor facility, but can't afford it, so you justify it by saying we don't to be soft like the Cajuns. FYI every school in America that has the means to build one has one. You should just say we can't afford that and move on. By the way the indoor facility is not just for football. Baseball, softball, track and soccer all benefit all benefit from this great asset to our program. Those drop down batting cages are awesome in January and February.

We are spending our money elsewhere on facilities which will generate revenue. Another coming soon.

Congrats to you, some can have an indoor facility and still have completely new softball and baseball stadiums, a totally remodeled basketball arena, a 100k SF AThletic performance center, and bowled in end zone seating in football. As soon as the base ball stadium is done construction of the athletic office tower on the home side of the stadium will begin which will include luxury suites along the side lines from end zone to end zone. Others can't do all that back to back I understand where you are coming from.

And how much debt is your school burying itself under? And your still in the sunbelt... And everyone still thinks your school is a joke...despite everything you typed. How's your AD's job approval rating these days?

Kent. The problem isn't that Tech can't afford it. Tech could do it tomorrow if it really wanted to by floating bonds or obtaining a bank loan by using Foundation assets as collateral. Tech's administration is just hesitant to do so. It would rather attempt to raise the money before borrowing it.

I'm sure you are aware that is how the athletic department in Lafayette built the APC, expanded Cajun Field, and started work on Tigue Moore Field. Almost all borrowed money. $35 million in bonds and bank loans with nearly $75 million in debt to service over the next 30 years.

That's not even counting what it might cost to do the work being discussed to Cajun Field - anywhere from $55 million to $68 million.

Exactly, which means Laughyette can't afford it.

What horribly unfortunate timing for facility smack talk. Poor Cajuns. They try so hard, but always get smacked down by big brother.

I wonder why he didn't mention anything about their invite to the B12.
