That was a tough team to play the way they slow down the game and run screens and motion, thought we played discipline ball even when things were not going our way...
Boykins was huge tonite even though his shot wasn't falling
Both Jalens struggled but got good points off the bench
Slim still looks tentative
Coming back from 7 down with less than 5 to play was really really good against that style of team
On to Texas!
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Next game @ #25 Alabama 4-0 Nov 29th for LA Tech 5-0.
Such a great win. Jean needs to be back in the starting lineup. Harris is in a slump for sure!
Our FT shooting is much improved over recent seasons. Remove Boykins' 1/3 effort tonight and the rest of the team was 11/13 on FTs.
Awesome!!
You know that weekend in January between AFC/NFC championship games and the Super Bowl? Don't look at RPI until then. Early season RPI is really bad. All early season RPI does is give people a false sense of where teams actually are. Check out KenPom. His rankings are the best. Remember this year the NCAA is doing some sort of secret composite ranking (that includes RPI) to replace RPI on the NCAAT selection sheets. KenPom, Sagarin, and others likely to be included in NCAA composite rankings.
5-0 and a championship in Cancun! How bout them Dawgs?!
That was our worst offensive performance of the year but by far the best offensive performance of any team against Evansville this season. The Aces are very good on defense.
Our defensive turnover percentage has increased every game since SEMO, doubled it vs. Evansville. Very good to see.
We were big on the offensive glass against Evansville, obviously none bigger than Boykins rebound/assist on the game winner. We grabbed season high 35.9% of offensive rebounding opportunities.
Beat Bama!
What a game!!!!!!!!!!
