The US government doesn’t control the price of oil. Inflation is a function of global supply chain issues and ultra-accommodative Federal Reserve policy. Most adults know these things.

You have it completely backwards. Trump negotiated cuts in US oil production last year with OPEC and these were implemented through the conservative Texas Railroad Commission.

So, Trump oversaw a reduction in production because we, as an O&G exporter, weren’t sending it out because the whole world was shut down. And we weren’t using it domestically because we were shut down too.
Why wouldn’t Biden reopen everything and ramp up production while getting the economy restarted from pandemic levels so he could claim a huge win for his admin?
