Clinton does not appear prepared to concede the election. Sent Podesta out to send Clinton supporters home.

That was totally classless on her part.

I must say watching that Man-dow cry and squirm was a very satisfying moment in my life. And why Fox news tolerates that bridge troll Rove and dufus Williams is beyond me.

    Some interesting numbers:

Obama vs McCain (69.5 million to 60 million)
Obama vs Romney (66 million to 61 million)
Clinton vs Trump (59,164,747 to 59,029,252)

    * Per Wikipedia

PawDawg was right... they weren't as fired up for her as Obama. What Trump lost in Republican support, he made up with Democrat support. Democrat hostility to Midwestern Democrats was the key to victory.

One of the numbers I saw last night did not have him down with Republican voters very much at all.

I agree, that Midwestern Democrats and especially union voters made the difference.

I want to see the final numbers. He had to have lost some Republican vote if he got a lot of Democrat votes (Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, etc) and still didn't get as much total votes as McCain and Romney.

That was a huge difference, but I think the biggest difference was something you called all along. The Obama coalition did NOT show up to vote for her. What's left of the manufacturing sector showed up for Trump BIG TIME.

They are still counting votes, so the final totals aren't in yet. But, looks like both Trump and Klinton will fall just short of 60 million votes. Obummer had 65 million votes in 2008.

It was one of those very dependable exit polls cited by the fat boys at FOX.

    Re: 2016 Election Results

Ya know, there's a lot of talk about the advantage the democraps have with their stranglehold on the big metro areas, and as a result of that, getting all the EC votes of California, New York, etc...but it is also a "all your eggs in one basket" weakness. Pennsylvania is a good example of that, well, as is Florida. Klinton won just 3 or 4 counties out of 100 in PA, Philly and Pittsburgh, and a handful of counties, mostly around Miami, in Florida.

The 'craps don't have "mass appeal" across the nation, which is why even John McCain smoked obummer in terms of number of counties carried. Last night, the map was red! Out of 3,144 counties (and equivalent) looks like Klinton won maybe 50 or so nationwide. Which has been another source of grief, with so few areas deciding national elections in the past.

Rand Paul was just on TV and he said, those of us in "fly-over country" have grown tired of the west and east coasts deciding elections. And, he hopes all those libs who are leaving the country now, will wave when they fly over one last time .

This is a great opportunity to have some outreach to the inner cities. A big part of Trump's agenda was getting better jobs for the black community (and protecting them from the street thugs). It could be huge if he can deliver, but I don't see how that can happen.

There are Muslim-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and blacks that are scared this morning. The media made Trump into a monster. Good opportunity to expose the propaganda and prove they are lying.

He appealed to many working blacks. Liberals did not want to hear his message of "let's try something new". I'm anxious to see what he is able to create.

He has some fence mending to do with Hispanics. The false "killers and rapist" mantra hurt him, but not surpising that that was never quoted in proper context. Even FOX enjoyed bashing him among Hispanics.

Did you notice how well he did with the Cuban vote?
