Baseball Baseball. Stefan's 10 Strikeouts Not Enough in Series Opener at Nevada

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:

Jeb Stefan allowed just three hits and struck out 10 hitters and Tech scored two runs in the ninth inning to cut Nevada's lead to one in the series opener at Nevada but it was not enough as Louisiana Tech (17-17, 1-3 WAC) fell to the Wolf Pack (17-16, 2-2 WAC), 3-2, on Friday afternoon at a cold Peccole Park.

Game #2- Dawgs were up 3-0 through the first four innings, but were outscored 1-7 the rest of the way to lose again. At one point we had the bases loaded but Gordey struck out looking.

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:

Beau Bayliss' two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning was not enough as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (17-18, 1-4 WAC) stranded 12 runners in a 7-4 loss to Nevada (18-16, 3-2 WAC) on Saturday afternoon at Peccole Park.

I understand in working out low cost and effective travel, we stayed up Wednesday night, got on a buss at midnight, arrived Dallas early Thursday AM, took flight leaving at 7 AM CST, checked in, and had practice later that day. Not best way to be ready for a series. That kind of travel is not for me. Made plenty business trips west coast, Northwest, and East, and had enough effect from time changes, adjusting, etc. and they were at a little more reasonable times. Has to be better way and allow for more travel expense to put team in better chance to win some initial road games that far away.

Going into game #3 they announced the all-time baseball series record. "Nevada leads Louisiana Tech 40-13 in the series." Seriously?!!!

I simply can not take four more years of Simoneaux.

Game #3- The Dawgs led 3-2 through the first 3 innings, then we were shut out the rest of the game to lose. Nevada completed the sweep sending us to the WAC cellar again.

One out in the bottom of the 8th Dudley walked bases loaded. We played double play depth, but only got one out. Run scored. Announcer said that had we been playing up the runner at the plate would have been dead. The next batter hit a grounder to third. Our third baseman made a throwing error to allow them to take the lead.
