Nevermind Got it....
6-2
Wonder if Burroughs will shake up the line up next game
Huddleston at the very least needs to move down to 8th
No reason to leave him in a critical RPI position in the lineup
6-2 final. Season over. See y’all next year
I seriously doubt we’re going to find a way to turn this calamity of a tournament into a win in 3 hours time, but sometimes the Dawgs do bounce back.
FIU gave Tech hell in Ruston a few weeks ago, we were fortunate to win the series. They are a team of men, we’re not... pure and simple.
Is that sharp ear piercing noise the sound of another Tech team punctured at the season’s end... pssssss!
On the bright side, we outscored Rice today without our head coach and pitching coach!
And our 2 freshmen continue to come through. They were responsible for both Tech runs: 3 for 6, 2 walks, 2 RBI, 1 run.
Rest of team? 2 for 25, 3 walks, 0 RBI, 1 run, and some bad defense... No shows.
I thought that might be the case. I heard it or read it from more than one source.
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
In a game that saw multiple lightning delays and postponements, the Louisiana Tech baseball team fell 6-2 to the Rice Owls on Thursday afternoon in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

That's what's wrong the the marketing department. Winning 32 conference games means ZERO,if we don't make the post season. If we bbq today, I will be livid if the marketing department pushes 32 conference wins as a marketing tactic. Why don't we just crown the team national champions, about the same marketing ploy.
Steele can't hit a curve ball either, but he's found a way to evolve into our best hitter this last month. He's figured out how to foul them off until he gets a fastball or draws a walk when earlier in the season he'd whiff on the curve balls to strikeout. I've been really impressed with his maturation as a hitter. I hope he can find a summer league team that will allow him to learn how to play 1B.
A couple of our hitters FREEZE up on a curve ball and other teams notice. It will be a mistake to throw S.N. a curve ball next year and like you said he is not an auto out facing the curve. We also have some of our "better hitters" who swing at REALLY bad pitches on first pitch.
