Has anyone seen what ODU's plans are to expand their football stadium? I can't find anything in writing or any renderings of proposals. They have a good looking stadium currently, just small. It currently seats about 19,700. They also have a pretty darn nice end zone complex. I would think it would be tricky to expand their current semi-sombrero shaped sideline seating structures....kind of hard to add an upper deck to a rounded stadium like that. Although, it has the potential to really be unique among FBS stadiums if they figured out a neat way to do it.

Totally off topic, but when looking at pics of ODU's stadium, I happened across pics of James Madison's new $65 million stadium. Holy crap! I had no idea. That place is unbelievable: http://www.myonlinecamp.com/mickeymatthewsfootballcamps/facility-photo-gallery.cfm

I'm a little surprised that JMU didn't get more mention. There was some interest in and from them a while back with the main problem being academics, but we haven't heard anything from them. If ODU backs out, you'd think they'd be a natural candidate. (they have a solid alumni base in DC), and academics should be less of an issue now than before, which suggests that they lost interest.
University of Houston '01. Any references to "we" or "us" likely refer to UH. Cheers!

JMU stadium does look nice, but I'm not a big fan of the Erector Set style stands. I like brick and concrete.

There is a plan for ODU to increase their stadium to 30,500 once they get the go ahead (they have not decided to go through with it yet, it is still just a idea). There have been no pics released of it as far as I know. The plans were all done in-house.

JMU is a lot like Tech. A ton of potential in a small (relatively) town. They are located in Harrisonburg, which has a population of almost 50K. 19K students with the bulk of their alumni living within a three hour drive (Richmond, DC). They are also pretty rabid about football as well, they finished second to Appy State in FCS attendance rankings in 2011 with an average of just over 25K. They are another school if given the chance in CUSA, would be competitive very quickly. As far as their academics, well:

"The school is nationally recognized for its academics. U.S. News & World Report has ranked JMU as the top public masters-level university in the South (3rd overall) for 16 consecutive years, and among public colleges Forbes.com ranks JMU 22nd in the nation."

On the ULM board a poster is alleging collusion between La Tech and the News Star. This alleged collusion is to economically benefit Tech at ULM's harm. Why or how this collusion occurred is not specified by the poster.

Good. Let's let them think the whole thing is a conspiracy.

Speaking of maps....isn't it nice to be kind of in the middle, instead of out on a distant island.

So you're comfortable with letting everyone know your new plans for the States in the south. That Texas grabs everything South of Oklahoma city and takes Lake Charles. And GA shaves off the western side of Carolina. Where'd ya get this map?
