They are NAIA. It won't count on our strength of schedule. I would think this is an exhibition game.

Interesting nuggets about this year's schedule. most of the schedule was locked in by Weatherspoon's staff. The Utah game and maybe one other was added by Summitt. We will not play McNeese or Arkansas Little Rock this year.
Been a while since we had an (public) exhibition.
Dec. 11: at Mississippi State
Adding some good RPI. Thanks for the updates.
Techsters will participate in Georgia Tech Holiday Classic.
12/29/14: Harvard vs Louisiana Tech
If Techsters win, they would play winner of Georgia Tech vs Lipscomb
I'm guessing DeMoss--she knows everyone, college and WNBA. She probably recruited GaTech coach MaChelle Joseph in high school, and faced her regularly when Joseph was an asst. with Joe Ciampi at Auburn.
(Of course, it could have nothing to do with any of the coaches. It could be that a couple of A.D. assistants in the La & Ga Tech offices were frat brothers at East Stroudsburg State, and were looking for an excuse to reminisce over burgers at the Varsity! I used to do event planning--things can come together for the craaaziest reasons.)
Right now, the Lady Techsters should be a popular guest in any venue within driving distance of East Tennessee. Strong programs can schedule us as a "probable win" that still generates extra ticket sales, and has a good chance of grabbing 20 seconds on SportsCenter. For the moment, they can expect to face a team that's disciplined, but eventually over-matched physically. That's good for their players, good for our budget.
Good news is, after we progress beyond the former, we'll be even more of a sure thing in the latter two.
